About Alcyone Prophet

Alcyone Prophet is the trance music project of James Reimer. James started his musical career at the age of 16 with a Casio keyboard and a Karaoke machine. He would bounce tracks with the dual tape deck while recording new parts over them, manipulating layers of sound. As he got older, he invested in some real musical equipment and his music progressed.

Everything culminated when he got his first computer, and soon he was discovering the world of multi-track digital editing. He started doing remixes of songs by artists such as Eminem, Lenny Kravitz and Madonna, all the while gaining more musical knowledge and a more noticeable place in the music community. His remixes began to receive radio play on stations in the United States, Germany and New Zealand. He was even commisioned to do some music for a local morning radio program.

James is now focusing that experience as the driving force behind the project Alcyone Prophet. He writes and records all the original material, and takes on multiple roles including vocals, guitar, keyboards, drum programming, sample triggering, mixing and more.
